First of all, what a friendly forum. I have checked through previous topics but cannot find a similar question. I have recently changed from an Echostar AD 3000 IP to a Technomate TM 1500 CI with a motorized dish. I have a dragon cam and loader card and an Infinity USB with dragonloader and Phoenix software. I have programmed the card in the normal way but cannot get it to work in the Technomate. The receiver recognises the cam and the predator software but does not open any extra channels. Do I have to update the Technomate with a patch? If so, how do I do that. What is CAS, and do I need it? Is my old dragon card obsolete and do I need to buy a T Rex cam? Although I have this equipment and had run the Echostar successfully for a few years, I am still very much a novice, so if you can help, an "idiots guide" would be welcome. Thanks in advance. Gwyn

Most of the stuff that can be opened by Dragon Cam can be opened by the Technomate itself once the correct patch has been installed to it
![]() The TM can open TPS, D+, Cabo, Premiere, DMC, Aquiva & Polsat and probably a few other bits and pieces. You will need the link below to show you how to Patch a Technomate receiver. Please make sure you use the correct files for your model of receiver :? http://www.satellitehelp.co.uk/forum...ic,4700.0.html ![]() Nano

The Dragon Cam is opening exactly the same as the T-Rex super 4.6, mainly Premiere, D+ and Cabo.
If your Cam has Predator 359 loaded then all you need to do is update the keys, D+ are currently changing twice a day, you can do this manually using your receivers remote control, go into the menu, select Debug, OhlAladin, D+ and update the relevant key, either 00 or 01. The key is updated using the Decimal string, that is 16 x 3 sets of numbers, if the new key is 00, then the first 8 x 3 sets goes into 00-0, and the second set goes into 00-1. This can be done very quickly and easilly. As nanochickin has mentioned patching your receiver will give you more channels than the Dragon Cam, but if you do want a new Cam I suggest the Diablo, has this currently opens more, has better support and is cheaper. |

Thanks very much for the advice, I am off to find the patch and try loading it on the TM. I also have a T Rex 4.6 on the wayin a few days, bought off EBay. Will let you know how I get on.
