Hi To you all,
I Live in the south east of england near London and i have a fixed 80cm Dish which has 2 lnb`s 1 facing @ Hotbird 13 and 2nd @ Astra 19.2, all working off of a Topfield TF5000Ci Digital Receiver. I have recently bought an Alsat Dark Motor and have a new pole to fix motor onto but i need to know where i can get a bracket to fit existing 80cm dish onto, apparently has to have some sort of tilt upwards as i am now going motorized. I have attached some images of fixed dish as it is now please reply with what i may or may not need for mount on rear of dish and onto motor. Hello m8 - welcome to the forum
![]() TBH I would stick your existing dish in the local paper and buy a new one. I doubt you'll find anything to 'convert' it and just get frustrated trying. Without wishing to offend you, you could probably do a lot better in terms of performance anyhow, and new dishes are generally good value these days, if you're prepared to shop around a little. Don't know what the Dark motor is based on (it's probably a clone of one of the popular motors) but I would seriously suggest you mount it on T&K brackets regardless of what new mount you've just bought. Sorry to sound so negative, but we'd really like you to be pleased with the end result! Have a read of our motorised motor install guide for lots of hints and tips on installing, and the reasoning behind it all. http://www.satellitehelp.co.uk/forum...pic,401.0.html Regards, STICK

'T&K' is a standard term which you can Google, but this is where I get mine:
http://tlc-direct.co.uk/Products/MX335.html You'll also need a yard or so of 2" steel mast - scaffold pole is ideal. Then you'll need a couple of these to attach the mast to the brackets: http://tlc-direct.co.uk/Products/MX342.html and some decent fixing bolts: http://tlc-direct.co.uk/Products/FXRBM10.html A good dish from eBay would be something like this, though it's right on the limit size-wise for the DiSEqC motors. Also, have a browse of our 'Stuff on eBay' section for dish bargains, like this one or go search yourself. If you're unsure, ask us before you buy. We're more than happy to give stuff the once-over for you. Our guide lists everything you need to buy and the tools you will require. STICK

Virtually every dish will come with the pole-mount (which fits equally well on a motor output shaft.)
Some larger dishes have problems with clearance, but this is extremely rare in my experience, especially on motors where the output shaft points downwards.
