STV prepares HD sport channel
The Slovak public broadcaster STV is to launch a third channel.
Local reports indicate that the service will be named STV3 Sport and offer programming entirely in HD. It will be distributed by satellite, cable and IPTV and make its debut in August 2008, ahead of the Beijing Olympics. It will be headed by Andrej Miklánek, the former head of sport at STV.
