I have a Nokia 3650 phone and day before yesterday I was transferring some images via Bluetooth from my friend's mobile phone (he has Nokia 6600). Suddenly I got a message on my screen about incoming file, I accepted it without reading anything but amazingly there was nothing in my Inbox. Nothing happened right then but when I left the place and reached home, I saw my mobile phone's screen and noticed a weird icon, upon investigation I figured out it was queued messages in Outbox icon. When I opened my Outbox there were number of unsent messages there to my contacts saved on the phone. I deleted them all as If they were sent automatically I would have lost quite a bit of my prepaid credit.
At the same time my father asked if I was trying to send him anything via Bluetooth and I answered NO. Then he showed me his screen and surprisingly there was a file waiting to be accepted and was sent from mobile and I dont even know. I asked him not to accept it as it may be the virus? Now I have no idea how to fix it. It keeps sending unknown files to different people who have enabled their bluetooth option and many have accepted it in ignorance and now suffering the same problem. Also it gathers numerous messages in Outbox automatically. Anybody know what is it? Is this really a virus? If yes then how can I fix it. ANything is welcomed. |

Wow... have not heard of that one yet. Hmm... I would check with Nokia themselves or try to delete the file completely. Sounds like an application on your phone.. if so, you should be able to delete it. Have you looked in your apps folder to see if it is there?

It does sound like a virus to me. I haven't actually experienced one. This is the new age of viruses, though, where they will attack mobile devices.
