Default FoxTurk/BHT1 disappointment - Premier League

FoxTurk were listed as showing the 12:45 and 17:15 Saturday Premiership kickoffs today, but showed neither. They showed some crappy programming instead.

Don't know if they showed the 15:00 Middlesbrough/Blackburn game.

BHT1 on 13E and BH-TV1 on 12.5W (same channels, slightly different scan-name) both went black for the duration of the 12.45 game and then came back on again. I assume this was some sort of key change or emergency fix.

If anyone has any news or further observations on this, it would be great if you could post it here.

BGS

Apparently it is the Fox Turk on 33E that is showing the matches and I believe that at least two of today's matches (including ongoing Villa v Liverpool) are totally FTA on it. I have read elsewhere that for football it is confused with the one on 42E which does not show t'footie.

Fox Turk 42E is on the eastern beam and cannot be received in the uk without a silly sized dish.

Fox Turk 33E has been reported showing fta football all day, but its only a matter of time until they are ordered to scramble as its an easy catch in the UK with an 80 cm dish.

BH1 was never an option for fta football - they scrambled all last season. Azeri channel Lider TV 13E always scrambles when the football is on as well.

Thanks guys.

I get an excellent signal for FoxTurk 42E (11779 V 6250), and watched the Community Shield on it last week. I get around 58% indicated on my SS2. Breakup threshold is around 8-10%. Lyngsat has this transponder listed as western beam.

LJ's shows FoxTurk 42E as having the football as well as 33E, but that's obviously wrong.

As for BHT1, I suspected as much but was disappointed to have it confirmed. Especially on 12.5W

I have a tree at 33E but it's a bit sick, so I'm going to take the top third off and see what happens. >
