Patching Technomate 1600II - Techwatch: Satellite TV forums, FTA, Cable, Hardware, & Tech forums

I've just patched my Technomate 1600CII with the latest DM patch and I'm not impressed with the amount of channels that have been unscrambled. Premiere package on 19E and Multivision on Hotbird are about as much as I can get.

Am i right in thinking that the reason is because i now need the latest keys? Is a "softcam" zip file basically a package with all the latest keys in? I've downloaded "Softcam_11-08-2007" but the TM 1000 installer that I have (v 1.8.2) only shows 2 tabs (for software and channels)... whereas on the example link below there are 3 tabs... including one for keys.... so i don't know how to install the softcam even if that is what i am supposed to do ???

scrap that....

i was using the wrong TM loader... so i now know how to install the softkeys... just getting a headache tring to find the latest package to install now !

You're not impressed with having packages open that would cost you over £1000 a year in the UK?

Also open is Digital + on 19.2E and TV Cabo on 30W amongst others.

When I say I'm not impressed so far this is because the only thing I've unlocked is the Premiere package... everything else is either still locked or has no English Audio.

But... having installed that softcam update I appear to have gained a load of decent-ish French channels on hotbird... but I appear to have now lost Premiere on Astra?

1. My patch was dated 07/08 yet the softcams are 11/08... so why have I lost Premiere?

2. What channels come under D+ package? I can't seem to unscramble anything good on Astra other than Premiere.

Premiere key changed yesterday or day before. Digital+ changes keys at least once a day on average.

You need to change the audio settings, on your receiver, to get English audio. For Premiere choose the second German option, and for D+ choose User.
There are a few variations but trial and error should get you some good English viewing options, and Premiere has EPL football with English commentary.

aha, updated to the latest softkey package and now got a fair decent channels from the D+ and Premiere Package... thanks!

Do you have any other links, like the one you gave me for the D+ package, showing the channel lists for the other packages that are unlocked ?
