Default SL65 Patching

Hi

Is there anyone local or within say 30-50 mile radius of Rochdale that can lend me their time to patch my box? I don't have the means to do it, no serial port on pc nor rs232 c@ble. I can drive down to wherever, its not a problem.

I wouldn't blame you if it went belly up.

Please help me.

Wouldn't it be cheaper (and more interesting) to get USB<->Serial adaptor from Maplin (code ZP43W) and also null-modem cable (code L71BT)?

OK, all the SL65 owners have opted for another early night

I think you'll find that it's not a yes or no answer. It's more to do with the PC end than the STB end. If you choose the correct product, and are lucky that the driver software emulates a serial port properly, then I think you are in with a shout.

I wonder if you can buy one from a local shop on a 'if it doesn't work, can I return it?' basis. I reckon it's about a 50-50 chance, but your odds can be improved by trying it with a range of drivers. There have been instances where older drivers have worked where the latest ones haven't.

How's your luck lately?

Patched mine at a friends but feel so stupid now. Reset to default value and its wiped the key editor.

What is Canal Pro TV on the hex editor? What east or west position is it at?

What can be opened on 19.2e and 13e with the sl65a.zip files(key 27012007)?
