Default UR 010 Beta 2 released for TM9100

Well.. I guess this is not really a "news" as everyone and their dog are talking about it on various forums today. It is just here is quiet for some reason

Feature list:

* Improved boot stability
* CCcam working in top slot (bottom will be added soon)
* Improved plugin compatibility
* Improved audio quality
* Improved EPG recognition
* Improved DiSEqC 1.2 and USALS compatibility
* Added Fine Motor Moving
* Improved DiSEqC Switch compatibility
* Fixed audio track saving bug
* PVR Recoding 0mb bug fixed
* Added Teletext Recording & Playback
* Timer reminder fixed
* Signal Quality and Signal Strength readings fixed
* Added Skin Preview
* Updated Green Panel & added more functions
* Radio recording fixed
* Added Auto Services On/Off Option in Expert Setup
* Diablo & Trex cams
* Channel decoding speed increased
* RGB Output Level improved
* Teletext & subtitle Recording
* YPbPr Video quality improved
* Ngrab-lite & Wingrab supported
* Increased PVR TS Stream (16byte > 32byte Data Transfer)
* NTSC <-> PAL bug fixed
* OFDM API integrated
* Scart switching fixed
* Flash writing bug fixed
* Network Driver Upgrade with better DHCP performance
* Fixed RCU conflict
* Nnetwork stability improved
* Exit recordings by pressing 'exit' button

I loaded it to SD card (finally managed to get my hands on the receiver, so installed iBoot and 3 different images on SD card). Compared to Juliet006 there are some improvements and some disappointing things.
+ Ability to download and setup all cams and plugins from the menu
+ No more channel autoupdate

- Channel zapping is really slow.
- Had issues selecting CAM for encrypted channels. The selection is possible but system didn't allow to save the selection. It seems to be OK now after I loaded different skin.

Haven't tried other features as family took over the receiver

No timeshift yet and quite possibly there never will be. Or maybe in 2-3 years, dunno.

BTW, "well known UK receiver"? Are you talking about GBSat?

Sorry to hear about your problems arden and glad to see you back.

Has anyone with a 9100 tried watching a recording whilst still recording? You dont necessarily need a timeshift button for timeshift to work and it may be a hidden option.

AFAIK, it can't be done. You can only use it in a VCR - watch what is being recorded. No zapping during recording is possible. No timeshift (Pause is possible but then it just like pausing your VCR during recording), live video rewind or fast forward.
There is hardware limitation, which ATM doesn't allow timeshift.

Unless you are recording to Hard drive, you cant timeshift.

I dont have a 9100, thank goodness, but on the dreambox, selecting the run button whilst is is recording, allows you to watch a recording from the beginning whilst still recording. Obviously that action cannot be carried out on a VCR because you cant change the tape position.

The DM7020 got 3 demux paths, TM9100 got 1. It is using the same chip as DM500, so basically, TM9100 is DM500 with HDD.
