Default Flies

I am getting a lot of flies parking their less than delightful selves on my new 1.3M dish

Now I didn't spend the hard won dosh on it to have a bunch of freeloaders with dirty unhealthy habits helping themselves.

Porca Madonna! -- (that should nail the anti-profanity software ) -- they are there now, two of the blighters, I can see them from the window :spite:

Any ideas as to what can be done please?

You want a serious answer, or can we be silly?

I find a can of WD40 and a cigarette lighter quite good for getting rid of flies

Its probably the WD40, which is fish oil based, that attracts the flies.

I used a can of WD40 to set fire to someone's genitals through a letterbox once :spite: :

Dare one ask what had you in mind Stick?

Fine Nano , yes chemical warfare does have appeal, but could seriously damage the good paint on the dish.....so .

I think I need an exclusion zone

To get back on topic, maybe a few polite notices would work, or perhaps you could provide an alternate sunbathing location, like a cow-turd suspended from the LNB?

It's a well known fact that fly footprints can have a devastating effect on signal quality.
