I see Spectrum (UK) were doing the 7020 for £299 with a 160 gig drive recently. Don't know if that's still on offer.

It was a members-only promo on another board, but you might be able to get the same deal.

I personally wouldn't touch the 7025.

If I was forced to buy one at gunpoint, I wouldn't fit it with a Freeview tuner or a cable tuner either unless just for a play. It would get a second satellite tuner.

Wod m8, the early 7020 receivers suffered from lan card problems so beware.

I would go for a new 7020. There are now some very good reports coming through for the 7025 now that the new images and software is being developed.

Jim, do you know what was actually wrong with the 7025, and if or when it was fixed?

There was a whole batch around the same time that were rubbish, but I haven't heard anything on that front for a long while, good or bad.

I know about the early 7020's and it wasn't the same problem. It was something to do with failing to boot properly.

Maybe the hardware itself is better now. The LT image certainly seems to work well, and it's a smart move to keep it tight to the CVS.

that dreambox 7020 went for 205 i think that i bid on ebay and it didn't have the remote but gonna get a new one

had a think about it today and going to keep them separate as i have space so a twin tuner freeview pvr and a 7020s with my tm1500ci on the lnb loop through

does the 7020 do usals as the tm9100 over shoots on usals and doesn't like arabsat 26east, the image ds team did for 9100 well it nearly killed the receiver lol

The way to fix USALS receivers that either over or under rotate the dish is to artificially increase or decrease your latitude figure until it doesn't
