Default DM500S discontinued

Just saw this on Satstore http://www.satstore.co.uk/digirec.htm:
Quote:
"The DM500S has been discontinued by the Manufacturer due
to problems with counterfeit copies coming from China.
A new secure model DM500S-plus should be available soon."
What do they mean by new secure model, I wonder? They're not just referring to the hologram on the box, are they? Anyone know about this 'plus' model?

I understood that they had discontinued the 500 when they introduced the 600.

the dm600 would have been better as the starter model with price around 130

As far as I know, they were the real deal. I read a couple of posts elsewhere which indicated as much anyway.
