from the specs it looks the same just doesn't have the freeview tuner in it

i'm looking at this model too for the very quick blind scan and very good tuner

X221S CI (2card reader + 2 cam slots)

X211S (1 card reader no cam slots)

I imagine the chipsets are the same.

I don't know much about these boxes, but I would definitely check that the patch support is as good for the satellite-only box as for the combo box before splashing the cash.

This is what neovo say on satforumz on vantage as to tms.
Re: au on vantage

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

wise choice, vantage is a far superior quality product.
the blind scan alone is worth having it will find 30% more feeds then any other stb on the market.
add to that it reads sly uk cards without the need of a cam if you get a 2 ca model.
patch support A+ , i'm very happy with the two i have.

buying tip get it from gremany, satking.de great prices.

Vantage VT-X201S FTA £51
Vantage VT-X211S 2xca (Conax and multicrypt) £58.46
Vantage VT-X201S 2xCI £60
Vantage VT-X211S 2ci + 2ca £67
Vantage VT-X221TS 2ci + 2ca DVB-S + DVB-T Combo £98.69 (UK price £139..lol)

This should give guys a guide who want to get a vantage.

think i shall just get it anyway as the blind scan on my technomate box would take about 10 years to finish

if vantage made a version with pvr functions then that would be a serious contender in the market
