Default Lyngsat listings

Looking at the Lyngsat listing of channels for Astra 19.2E, why do some of the channels (such as Digital+ and Premiere) appear multiple times, under different frequencies?

Because they rent multiple transponders so they can fit all the programmes on

So how does one know for example which Digital+ channel is on which transponder? Can that be found out from the Lyngsat listings?

Incidentally, a few days ago I found a website that listed the encryption methods used by every European (I think) satellite channel, but I lost it. Any ideas where I might find it?

Thanks

Or use the packages link on lyngsat, second row down, click on the section that contains you satellite, e.g. for Digital + on Astra 1 19.2E, click on Europe, then on the Digital + link, and you will get all the Digital + channel frequencies and PID's plus links to the web site for program guides.

Confused again. My receiver is preprogrammed with just a few satellites. One of them is Astra 1B. But looking on Lyngsat for 1B, there are no channels listed, whereas my receiver found several hundred when scanning what it refers to as IB (TP frequency 10773, symbol rate 22000, polarity H). Is 1B just a shorthand way of referring to all the satellites listed here: http://www.lyngsat.com/astra19.html - i.e. 1E to 1L?

Also I see some of those use symbol rates other than 22000, so would I have to set up a separate satellite ID and parameters to scan for those? I'm using an SL65.

Astra 1 has lots of satellites co-located in the same position, 19.2E, 1E,1F,1G, 1KR, 1L,, and the older satellites. like 1B, have either come to the end of their service or been moved.

Usually you imput the required frequency, polarity and S/R and then scan for channels, it depends on the receiver, check your instruction manual for adding new channels.
