Hi again!
Just a quickie, gearing up to buy my motorised system, can someone please explain to me if a higher or lower db rating on an LNB is better?(sorry, basic question, newbie here!) 0.2 compared to 0.3 (0.6 even?) Many thanks to anyone who can assist ![]()

The lower is usually better, but manufacturers have differing ways of measuring the levels so a 0.3 might work better than a 0.2, but the only way to get a truly better signal quality, and pull in weak satellites, is a bigger dish.

Thanks for your advice,I'm probably going to invest in a 1M dish (90 cm minimum),is their an LNB that you would reccommend over any others?
Thanks again ![]()

Inverto, Sharp, Invacom, Smart Titanium, MTI - all rated at the moment.

Found the Inverto and Invacom (both C120 type) to be excellent, closely followed by the MTI LNBF.
Whatever works for your shape of dish, as Stick says they're all pretty good unless you're a bit fanatical about the last atto volt of RF. Nobody here like that though luckily ![]() L. ![]() |

don't think you can go too far wrong with this either, i've just ordered one to see if i can get a 10% increase in signal quality...
cheap as well, http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Smart-Titanium...QQcmdZViewItem |
