Hi ppl i am a newbie to this site and to the sl 65 tho had alot of experience with similar stuff. Was wandering more on how to connect pc-rs232 and can anyone explain more on this ejtag connector as never needed to use this type connector before as most stuff you can use the rs232 for s/w patch loading cams/emus etc. any help is most appreciated i bought the sl-65 today in lidl. Are you able to watch encrypted channels on these stb's aws have been asked many times as this stuff i usually know (starview/Dbox2).

and at bottom of page last post looks interesting and wander if anyone knows if it is possible on what welby is claiming he/she is referring to successifully patching the SL-65.

Ahh..Stress ..
So I bought myself a Silvercrest SL65 from Lidl Today, and
backed up original Firmware with 'Ali Editor' I think
it's that name, and then flashing a SL65 firmware which
obviously isn't compatible with my unit via RS232 and not it
stays in standby no LED readout.

Too late I found this thread which says that
my flash spansion fl016aif needs a code to access the flash?

My 6-pin JTag cable can read flash but its not in the list of chips,
the box looks like it blocks any write access.

I am tempted to send this back, is their any security seals I need
to fix back as I opened the cover.
