Yoy will be able to get the Free to Air channels off Astra 2 28.2E, but not the Free to View channels, or any channels that are part of S*y's packages.
It is worth keeping the old dish, just for the channels on 28.2E, and have your new system for viewing everything else. |

If you keep your old sky dish and receiver and have the sky card, you will be able to open all of the free to air and free to view channels without further subscriptions. That will give you the best of both worlds because with the new dish and receiver you will be able to watch footy on one tv while SWMBO can watch 'corrie' on another tv.

You don't have to - it's your choice. Most of the footy games are currently available with a patch on Premiere, Sport TV and a few others - or FoxTurk 33E (FTA).
Some have English audio, some don't. Most will go black-screen at some point. DigitAlb don't show anywhere near all the games anyway.

that package looks fine apart from the wall mount they include they are rubbish, you cant get them level correctly and will flex when the dish moves east or west
best to use a small set of t&k brackets with a piece of 2 inch pole

The team bias thing is a good point.
All Premiership teams are not equal when it comes to coverage, as I'm sure you'll appreciate, and it seems to be exaggerated on multinational satellite. A Man U game can be covered on fifteen different channels, whilst Derby gets shown on one. Sorry Derby fans... just an example... ops:Check liveonsat.com for details.
