Why is it that I can get a good signal on a satellite, scan and save channels (Astra 19.2E). But then when i turn the Technomate off and then back on, the signal has degraded to about half of what it was?
The only way for me to get my signal back is by moving the dish out and then in to position.... :?

I would suspect that the connector to your LNB is the culprit. I had bother with one satellite's signals disappearing completely and when I moved the dish they all came back. If the central core of the coax is not long enough where it goes into the "F" connector, then you can lose signal parially or completely - try re-fitting the "F" connector and leave a little bit more of the central core poking out of the insulation - just a suggestion.

Glad to oblige. I have a Technomate 1000D which I used for high quality Satellite radio last week. I found that the sound is not nearly as compressed as FM so if you want high quality radio sound, use your Technomate, connect to an amplifier and crank up the volume - you will be amazed.
