season interface

i have just found my old videocrypt season interface that i bulit ages ago.
now i have an old xtreme pvr running penta 1.9.
the lad i got this pvr from said that he used to update the rx useing funcards..
can i do the same with this season interface has it got any use at all ?
it would be a shame to throw it..but even better if it can be used again..
the card its self is a fiberglass pcb with 2 pic chips a few caps and a 9 pin serial plug on it..


id like to update this pvr is possable

it has on the back of the pcb max232 ?? does that help..
