ok yea yea before you all call me a cheap skate.. im want to work my way up to a dreambox at some point..
but im looking for a cheap patchable receiver for about 80 quid.. iv done my comag and im happy with it ![]() now i want to move up a little. so what would you buy if you had 80 quid and want a new toy ? advice chaps plz. cheers ![]() |

Have a look at the Vantage or Technomate. I don't know a lot about the Vantage myself but you will need to ask SatSid about that as hes the current resident Vantage expert on the Forum
Hes happy with his so it can't be a bad receiver ![]() The Technomate is also a good buy aswell as there is loads open on it at the moment. Its easy to use and easy to patch to open up all those lovely freebies ![]() ![]() Nano

If you could find an extra £30 odd quid. The TM9100 is a very capable box. Its running Linux, and is in many ways similar to the Dreambox...

Whatever you go for, you will wish you had gone just that bit farther.
