According to local reports, Dogan TV has asked the Turkish Football Federation to hold a new tender for the broadcasting rights for the Turkish premier league (Süper Lig). The rights are currently held by Lig TV, which pays an annual fee of $100 million (€73.3 million). However, Dogan TV is offering to pay a fee of $180 million per annum over the period 2008-2011. Dogan TV, which is part of the Doagn Yayin Holding group, has also indicated that it would carry football matches from the league on its digital platform D-Smart.
