Played a bit with DS 3v3 yesterday. I'll give it a miss.

The interface is simply perfect, much better than in UR or Juliet. Lots of features, configuration pages, etc. Love it.
PVR functionality is rubbish. Never managed to force it to play recorded file without having to restart the receiver. Hate it.

A couple of interesting things:
1. All recorded (and then deleted) movies were shown in movies list in DS. Even more, after I clicked on "Import movies", these were available for other firmwares too!
2. At one moment, system froze and displayed message:"Someone stolen focus!". I looked out of the window and my Mondeo was still there. And so was neighbour's Focus. How dare they to give false alarm messages?!
Anyway, TM9100 restarted after about a minute displaying this message.

I understand that I didn't test it right as I used iBoot with 009 in flash. This image is based on latest 010 CVS, which is might be the reason for the problems.

Back to UR10b2.

I have no idea what's going on with the TM-9100 right now. Got this from one of the 9100 forums this morning, which I find a bit worrying:

Quote:

Development of the software on our 9100's could be a slow old process unless we can convince Technomate to make the source code publicly available.

In short we cannot compile the latest source cause we can't get at it.
All in favour please reply to this post and hopefully we shall be noticed

Viva La Revolution
I assumed it was available and was the basis of the current CVS?! That means that it's just the add-on code that's available as CVS!

The TM-9100 will never be slick unless they release the source.

AFAIK, you can't just go and download sources if you wish. There are sources available from ITGate but this is diefferent receiver (although similar) - that's how DS team did their act. You can also get Enigma and Tuxbox sources.
No TM sources are available to public. Not sure where UR team took 010 sources from, but that's just makes me worrying even more. If Darkman (isn't UR team related to him?) loses interest to TM9100, then what'll happen to the project? OK, it'll make a bloody good doorstop

No, you're dead right! I assumed it had been released, but clearly not. You'd think that Technomate would want to community to fix their crappy software for nothing!? They'd also sell twice as many boxes!

Well, they promised to build a proper website within 3-4 weeks and put sources there. For some reason I am a bit sceptical about this one.

BTW, it would be interesting to get Gemini 4.0 sources for DM600 and compare it with the ones for TM9100. It looks like these two receivers are very similar (apart from tuner and card reader part) so it might be possible to combine the sources?

I think it's Enigma that chucks out the 'Can't be descrambled' message? :?

Yes it is Enigma. I have my motoised settings based on motor current such that I get the 'channel not found' and 'can't be unscrambled' messages frequently before the picture comes up in all its glory.
