Default ready to give up now

Okay Just about raedy to give with this dish , Here's the story so far bought a lot of kit a few years back when we could get pal, kio and teq and all the rest after about 8months or so they all upgraded encryption and we all lost most of channels so I just left the dish alone. we have just moved house and I thought it could be a good time to put up the dish again. well I have the dish set back up again but just can't seem to get it aligned properly, have managed to get Thor, hot bird and even arabsat 2c but cant get anything else have been trying for about a week everytime I get home form work but nothing new....so I've decided that if theres anyone in the Northants (Chapel Brampton, NN6 8BG) area that want's to earn a few quid and has the equipment to tune this *&^%$ dish in I would be most greatfull.
Dish set up:

Echostar dsb 808 2ci via, diablo cam, 1mtr motorised dish, usals & Diseq.

thanks for any help you can offer a born again sat user

Hi performancepolishing,
welcome to the board.
It is not a good idea to post your telephone number on a forum, as you could get a few calls that you weren't expecting !!!
Did you set up your dish on the satellite nearest true south to your location, usually between 1 - 5W, and is your pole perfectly vertical?
As with a clear line of sight, and correct set up, on your true south satellite, pther satellites should be easy to find.
With your Diablo cam you can currently get Digi TV on 1W, and TPS on Hotbird, but you could get a lot more channels if you can get your dish to pick up 19E and 30W.
If you read through the motorised set up guides, on the forum, I'm sure you can get it properly set up, and there will be lots of members ready to help with good advice.

Yes, Don't give up, follow it through methodically and its plain sailing.

As Mikha said:- Pole perfectly vertical + clear line of site
+
Latitude or elevation of motor set correctly.

Motor it to 1W or whatevers your closest.

Quick waggle up and down left and right for max signal on meter or receiver for 1W.

and Bobs yer uncle if using USALS,

bit longer if using Diseqc.

If you are getting 1w 13e and 26e, then 19e and 28.2e should be a doddle. Is your transponder list up to date? :?

Are you able to blindscan on your receiver?

had another go last night and managed to get astra1, just changed the tp to a different one and hey presto the signal nearly went of the board although i think the east-west axis might be out cause i cant get any thing to the west at all..may just leave it for a while as I don't want to throw out what i have got...

Cheers anyways...
