Hi,
Judging by what Ive read on other forums as well as this one, it is the most popular motor,
and reasonably quiet with nylon gears. Reasonably priced too.

I have a STAB myself with metal internals, supposed to be last longer, who knows.

I have one of these and it's given me two years constant service so far, and it's showing no signs of giving up. The only downside to this motor is that I've gone and cross threaded one of the nuts holding it onto the mast. It's done me well for the money.

Moteck or STAB, they are head and shoulders above all others, so buy with confidence.

Mine works fine and has managed to survive the high winds we had a few months ago with no problems

I would look on ebay though, i only paid £35 for mine with £10 postage

yes if the place you intend to install the dish isn't very exposed to strong wind as i wouldn't use one if it was going above the guttering on a 1.m dish otherwise should be fine

if i remember right your current dishes are on a flat roof so should be fine on one of those roof mounts with a some paving slabs to hold it down

Thanks

My mount is going to be half a galvanised washing line post in a large block of concrete, sitting on top of a cutoff of pond liner. Didn't fancy trying to get slabs up a ladder :nope essayer to carry a bucket of concrete at a time. can also jiggle it so the post is plumb before concrete sets.
