Default moteck motor

hope ive posted this in the right section if not sorry.

I'm looking to buy a motor and the current consensus on this site seems to be the moteck sg2100a and I bow to your knowledge.

I've found this item on ebay 50116859819 and as I live quite near can go and pick it up rather than pay a 8 quid postage so for 40 quid it seems OK unless anyone can find a better deal.

What i am wondering is the item an original moteck or a copy cos I wouldnt know the difference and is there an easy way to tell?

One last thing am I correct in thinking that this motor will be able to work with my SS2.

Cheers

That item# comes up a dud in eBay, but any DiSEqC motor should work with an SS2 PCI card.

The clones are pretty good, and the Technomate 2100 is on a par so I've been told. Wod posted the other day that some or all of the clones don't have a hardware reset - which is quite a handy function - but could also be used to tell them apart.

The real Motecks come in a box marked 'Moteck Digipower'. I have a feeling this might also be cast into the top cover of the motor.

Loads for sale on eBay for around the £40 mark.

I also see that Technomate are now making a '2200 Super' motor which is claimed to be 35% faster than the previous Technomate 2100A motor (which, in turn I believe is identical to the Moteck.)

I've not seen a Moteck 2200 yet?! :?
