Default This is harder to understand than we thought!!

We have recently bought a Silver Crest digital satellite system with reeiver SL65,antenna CO55 and universal twin LNB from Lidls.
We have bought a signal locator from Maplins as well. We have picked up signals ,but cannot get any english speaking ones.Do we need more kit to help us or is there aneay solution?
All these sites are great ,but seem to speak another language...help!!!

Hiya verybusymum, :welc1: to SatHelp

First of all, can I ask which channels/satellites you're wanting to view? Is it the _Sky satellite (28E)? Or are you after something else?

Secondly, we need to know a few details about the channels you've been picking up, channel names, transponders if you can (but don't worry if you can't), that sort of thing. This will help us work out which satellite you are on up now.

That should do for now, we might be able to get you up and running with that info

Kev

Hi,

No, you don't need more kit, you are just pointing your dish at the wrong satellite thats all..

It is very easy to remedy, once we know what satellite you're currently pointing at.

As well as telling us some channels like mship has said, you may want to learn something also
by visiting this site http://www.lyngsat.com. It lists all the satellites, their positions east or west of south and
what channels are on them with frequencies.

Have a look at this too:- http://www.satellitehelp.co.uk/forum...ic,1353.0.html
bit out of date apparently, but you can get the idea.
