They should be backwardly compatible, but some of them certainly have problems.

should is one of those words lol. Going to send it back tomorrow morning and get a replacement. I have also sounded out a bloke at the car boot/market we go to on a Sunday who says he is getting some in the next couple of weeks. He never mentioned a price but seems knowlegeable etc and is there every sunday so would be easy enough to return.

Jonty

Just looked CAREFULLY at your original piccies and............

It looks like someone has worked on your feedhorn to use the dish for C band circular polarised transponders.
Have you already cut out that 'thing' that's strung across the throat of the feedhorn. ???

If not then do it now and get out in the garden again!!!

Rgds

Sorry m8 I don't know what you mean. There is some clear plastic over the throat of the feedhorn and also over the lnb. The only thing I have taken off the original set up is the polariser thing.

In the 4th pic in your 1st post in this thread there appears to be a vertical obstruction straddling the throat of the feedhorn.

Good spot that Lanceot, does look like a circular adaptor. But that feedhorn, would not have been used for c-band would it? But we did used to have some circular polarised ku band signals years ago,in the good old days!!!

The guy I bought it off had it set up on analogue if that makes a difference. Are you saying I can take the clear plastic thing off and remove that small metal strip thing? I assumed the plastic was there for a reason.
