Still no joy must be next doors bloody tree even though I have moved the dish about 30 feet nearer the house. 5W 8W 12.5W all fine so far and still going. I can get 1W about 10 feet away from where the dish is now with a 60cm dish on the floor but if I put it there its too close to the house.

Can now get 7E 5E 4W (very low signal) 5W 8W 12.5W but that is all nowt east or west of those. I have found a gauge on the top of the mount that goes from 10 to 0 at the moment it is set on about 6 and a half. I have attached a nice piccy can someone tell me what it is?

Almost certainly declination. Which is precisely why you can only get the satellites you can

The 2x19mm lock nuts adjust the elevation, will try and get you that angle as well ![]()

Cheers both. Just had a look at that .html page and for my longitude it comes up with 53 37 7.552 so does that mean the declination thing should be at 7.552? I have tried adjusting it but haven't got 2 spanners big enough lol. Will have to root around for my mole grips. Will let you know how I get on

If your latitude is 53, then yes, the declination angle is 7.552. Set and forget.
You'll obviously have to go back and retune your elevation to peak reception.

Still no joy with 1W. Have moved the stand again about another 6 feet nearer to the house and get a signal about 62% but not picking up any channels

Hope these photos help a bit!
Photo 1 should show the elevation, which i have as 37 (not very clear on my £1.00 angle finder) Photo 2 is the elevation adjusting nuts, which i see have been undone on your photo Photo 3 is my declination setting, which is between 7 and 7.5 And if you ever give up with it just roll it around to my mums,on Abbey Road,Macc, she can bring it over on the roof of her fiesta ![]()
