Cheers Jasper the nuts have been done and undone more times than a tarts kecks. going to have another tweak in a bit while everything is quiet and I won't be rolling it round to your mums either it will take more than this to make me get rid of it and I wouldn't have to roll it I could frisbee it round there as I am only round the corner from there near the Rugby Club.

STILL can't get 1W but can get 5E and 5W but 5W only has 9 channels coming up but according to wotsat mag there is a hell of a lot more on there. Could the feedhorn be the problem do you think?

bit better managed to find Edusat and tightened everything up and did a blind scan. Got 19 channels including some of the nagra ones but something is still not right. Also when using the technomate to gauge the signal it came up with nothing but was definitely on 1W as edusat came up.

These are the only transponders I can get at the moment

11.190 V 79%
11.481 V 78%
12.676 V 60%
12.203 V 60%
12.871 v 66%
11.481 H 79%
12.871 H 63%

Is there a setting I should change somewhere in the TM or could it be the feedhorn is not up to the job?

Get a big roll of tape and stick your old LNBF on the dish instead of the C120 and F/H.

Then Re scan and see if you get anything more.

If the C120 LNB and F/H are working then you shouldn't.

I don't think I am too far off and not convinced its not next doors tree either also I have just noticed there is a tiny hole in the middle of the dish and a large circle like something is missing off the dish like a plate should be fitted there or something. Picture attached of centre of dish and also picture of the view from the lnb. Can't be mithered with tape etc but if I don't sort it soon the bugger is going back on ebay. Had a much better life with the 80cm at the bottom of the garden

Getting there slowly very slowly indeed now getting a bit of a signal on 1W 5E 7E 10E 13E 16E and 19E very low and nowhere near as many channels as there should be but at least its something. Have also noticed that the patio is not level could that be a problem or is it not as important with prime focus dishes?

It's absolutely essential that the pole is vertical, so if the pole is square to the base, then yes, it does matter if the patio is level. Of course that just means packing out the feet of the base, not digging up the patio

Cheers BG its getting very close indeed to being frisbeed over to Jaspers mums. Could the pole be the reason I am getting a really strong signal on 11.190V but nothing on the others around it? I think I can eliminate the feedhorn and the LNB as a problem because I am getting some good signals. Going to nick a load of wedges from work tonight and have another mess tomorrow I have really had enough for today.

A bit further forward but no luck on 1W. Got over 200 channels on 5W though and about 20 on 1W. Borrowing a spirit level tonight so will dismantle the whole lot and get the stand bolted down and level then mess properly
