Are you sure you have the frequencies set correctly, and you haven't got them round the wrong way?

Low is 9750
High is 10600

and the switching frequency is 11700

Maybe you swapped the high and switching?

My brain is too full of cotton wool today to work out the effects of doing that

Getting closer and closer to fecking this off and going back to my 80cm dish. Stand is perfectly straight can get 138 channels on hotbird none on 10E loads on 7E 5E has now gone completely 1W is up to 30 channels ( a lot of them have no names though I think they are replicas of the other nagra channels I already have) 5W 8W 12.5W are fine but I can't get anything at all on 7W. The Low and High are now set right and the frequencies are right and back on 12.273 I don't get the option to change the switching

you should get more channels than that on hotbird over 1000 easily

is the lnb faulty ? as something is not right

The hotbird signal is only 60% I think thats due to the trees. I think I might bite the bullet later in the week and just move the dish nearer to the edge of the garden since there is not much on the stuff from 1W and further west.

Given up and gone back to the 80cm for now. Decided the dish is too big for the garden and can't get a proper signal only on 5W. Think I will hang on to it for a while until the trees are bare and give it another go.

Ah, that's a shame, but I understand your frustration. Good idea to give it a rest for a while. I wonder if it's subtly distorted.

i was thinking the dish is warped or something as hotbird, astra 1 etc should have boomed in on the size of it

you should have just bought a channel master dish off ebay as they have been some on there over the last few weeks and stuck it on the pole you have for the other dish

I don't think its warped or distorted because I get a cracking signal on 5W and 8W. On a blind scan of 5W today before I gave up it found 200 and odd channels including all the data things etc and oddly named channels that were all just numbers. I think its the tree next door that is causing the problem. I think its best to have another go in a couple of months when all the leaves are off the tree or I might try and catch the couple next door and ask them if they want it removing it would only be half a days work I would have thought for two of us with a ladder and a bow saw. Its the same tree that blocks my 80cm dish on 1W to 10E. It will be nice just to actually watch some telly

just get them to trim the tree or you will do it ? as on the arc 1west is pretty high in the sky so the tree must be massive

Have come to another decision

Going to get a 4 way diseqc switch and use the 3 dishes at the same time. The camo one will go on 5E 7E and 10E the 60cm one on 1W and the 80cm on the rest. Was thinking of this one 150148347994
