Default 1.5m IRTE Camo Dish

Ok first lot of pics and questions Pics of the Jaeger actuator and feedhorn and lnb.

1. Do I need to buy a C120 LNB or is it possible to fit a MTI Blueline to it?
2. Where does the wire that has been cut off on the actuator go?

Will post pictures of the actual dish tomorrow as its a bit dark outside. I could make this into a TV Mini series/ Reality TV show because it could end in tears bloodshed and finally divorce

That's a standard C120 fitting Jonty, so you'll need a C120 LNB ( get the Inverto Twin)

And who the hell is Pauline ??

Yes just get rid of the poloriser and attach a C120 lnb. I can highly recommend the inverto`s.

Check out wizard sat as they sell the .2db version. The one nano has kindly posted is the .4 version.

Lower the number better the lnb performance (in theory)

With the actuator you have 2 wires for the motor +36v and -36v.

And another two for ground and sensor.

As long as you make sure they correspond on the receiver side you will be ok.

Dont mix the motor wires with the ground and sensor.

Inverto White Tech C120 LNB £15

But if you want to run the Techno and the Skystar together, definitely get the twin version and have it sorted once and for all.

The only thing with the feedhorn that comes with that dish is it might not cover the full ku-band 10.700 to 12.750 just wait and see how things go if you get poor signal on some freq change it to one of the adjustable invacom feedhorns http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Invacom-C120-F...QQcmdZViewItem

So the way things stand I am going to have to buy a new LNB. The leaflet I have with it says the polariser will allow selection of vertically and horizontally polarised signal in the linear bands 10.95 - 11.75Ghz and 12.5 to 12.75 Ghz. So I presume the feedhorn will be ok. The wire coming off the actuator attaches to the positioner I have I take it as that has 4 wires 2 for power and 2 for the sensor but is a hell of a lot thinner than what I already have. Would it be ok to open up the actuator and rewire or would that be a no no

There should be 4 screws on the bottom, just remove them and the cover should come off.inside there will be 2 terminals marked "M1" and "M2" these are the 36volt supply, you can connect a 12 volt car battery to these to get the motor to move.

Yes, check your motor for sure, as you'll have to rewire. No point patching that short stub on. Use your existing cable and be careful to get it all the right way round, or you'll toast it.

If you get the power terminals round the wrong way, the dish will probably just move in the wrong direction, but put 36V over the reed sensor connections... ops:

Not worth messing with your existing LNB when you can the proper Inverto one so cheap. They seem to be on offer in a number of stores right now.
