Its very hit and miss in my experience with hd stuff on the ss2 sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. I can't remember which version of coreavc I am using but I think its 1.5

1.5 is the new version just recently released. Unfortunately I have not yet set it up again since I installed the new motherboard and graphics card.

One thing I have read is that the new Sapphire 1650 card I have installed has a note to say that it does hardware decoding of H264. Time will tell.

To be honest, although being happy with ALTDVB I have now found MYTHEATRE and although a tad slow at channel changes it does work very well and is a lovely picture with the ELECARD codecs.

Worth a look, latest version is 3.38
