OK dokey, got me card, just installing it later, I see from the blurb that SAT internet is available through this card as well, does that work?? is it free/pay is there any advantage over broadband??

Also. what, in your opinion, is the best software to start with?? or is it a bit trial and error??

Cheers lads

The best by far in my opinion ist Altdvb. Get the elecard codec for SD transmissions and the corecodec for H264 HD transmissions and Bob's your dad's brother.

There is a pack of vPlug keys (in a database) you need to get an unpack into the /plugins folder of DVB Dream too.

Go look in the same place you found vPlug, or get the latest keys from skystar-2.com

Well DVBDREAM started off oh so well but after updating the SS2 drivers to 4 4 0 it decided to start having codec problems, reverting back to the earlier driver didnt help.

So Im now on ALTDVB managed to figure it out and I can see moving piccys with sound, I now know how Baird must have felt.

Ive got the COREAVC codec installed but get only sound and a black screen on BBC HD with an error msg about not connecting pins between ALTDVB and COREAVC.

The question is what version of COREAVC do you guys use, maybe I just need another version ?

PC specs should be up to it (I think)

Athlon 3000
1 Gig Ram
Geforce 7600
