Have just realised that the dish is as big as my kitchen table! 90cm sounds small til you see something that round Think I'll go with Sticks' idea and dig a big hole and fix the top end to the shed. The missus will like the ivy idea.. I liked the screen on the beer fridge idea but shed has no power, (Yet)! Kit is due today so may fiddle tonight and come back with thousands of questions tomorrow..

You should always go with my ideas. My ideas are the best :nahnah:

My next good idea is to run a power cable to the shed at the same time you run the coax, but make sure you use top quality WF100 spec. coax and well insulated power cable. They shouldn't ideally be run right alongside each other.

I missed a golden opportunity 6 years ago when we got a 1976 sprite alpine caravan and put it at the bottom of the garden for a summer house. If only I hadn't planted conifer's round it I could have now turned it into a very comfortable self contained viewing station and mounted a huge dish next to it :

Regular sh*t can't hold a candle to electrified sh*t though.

To be honest, when I ran power to my shed, it was more than reason enough to clear it out and keep it organised

Just don't plant any conifers round it when you're done

Most amusing. What isn't amusing is the fact that Sateuropa have run out of Raven dishes and I have half a delivery at home :'( Simon however is on the case and trying to find me a Black Triax instead.. What were you saying about things being encrypted..

Right. Spoke to Simon yesterday and he has managed to find a Black Triax. Also have managed to source a 12' scaffold pole and something called a graph, (graf?), which apparently is a long handled spade. Put motor together last night and cable has arrived from ebay so all is looking good..
Can someone point me in the direction of some allignment help?

Here's the motor bible:

http://www.satellitehelp.co.uk/forum...pic,401.0.html

Read it through a couple of times, and ask on the forum if it's not clear.

Everything else you need is also in the Utilities section:

Have just been reading that. Azimuths and declinations Sure it's not as complicated as it sounds, just need to check where South actually is and make sure it's all lined up.. Dish has arrived according to neighbour - She enqired as to where we are going to put the new table Can't do anything until Saturday which is highly annoying but not digging in the dark, (Neighbours think I'm a loon already)! Think I have everything I need apart from jubilee clip, but will get that before weekend.. Again, thanks so far and I'll keep posted about progress. Depending on how out of place it looks I might even post some piccys!
