editing key files manually

i'm guessing its only the softcam.key file that you edit with the new key on the corrrect line but had an issue with d+ next key

i enter it on the correct line and save but nothing as say the 00 key is in use then next key is 01, then screen goes black when it should have stayed on as the 01 key is present in the softcam file

should the cam emu just gone on to the next key or does something need to be told to do it, like another file ?

it would save waiting for the satan keybundles to come out

It should just pick up the new key. Are you sure you have the next key and not the last?

yeah i got them from the usual place and as at the time the current key was 00 so i just pasted in the new 01 key below it on example d+ 4101 and save an exit

then the screen went black and froze when the new key should have worked, but the weird thing is that the satan keys bundle when new is posted works fine when ftped to var \keys and var\ tuxbox for scce files

i compared the softcam files and mine was the same as the new one posted up

does the keylist.txt or autoroll.key file etc need to be updated aswell ?

Different emu's use different files.

keylist.txt is used by Evocamd and autoroll.key is used by Camx, Radegast, MGcamd and Xcamd

Check this guide to see what's what, but it sounds like your AU file was out of date.

i've been editing the wrong files ? as softcam.key is not listed on there for evocamd
