Reception of 33e Fox Turk in the N.E. - Techwatch: Satellite TV forums, FTA, Cable, Hardware, & Tech forums

I have checked in stickies for sat. footprints & reception on 33e all of which are May 07. Footprint suggests should be able to receive, reports not so.
Has anyone in the N.E. been able to receive Fox Turk on 33e. & if so what location & what size & make of dish?
I am located @ 54.37N 1.33W. Newton Aycliffe

I think you should be OK on a 90cm say, but I'll let the local members give you the full run-down

I'm getting 33e loud and clear in the South West on an 80cm dish - 11596 V 27500 is the strongest transponder I'm picking up right now. Can't see Fox right now, though - have to wait for some better weather

Fox Turk only appears when the weather's nice. You SHOULD be okay with a 90cm dish up there... See if you can get the strong transponder above - at least, them, you'll know that you're on the right satellite

Only if the weather is fine si. Up here in the north, a 1m dish is about the minimum for reasonably secure reception of Fox Turk.

I know its not the north east but tbh i think another 10cms should do the trick

couldn't get fox turk, it was a fine day as well

lowest frequency i could get was 11470.

will try again this weekend

Wallsend, Tyne & Wear, I cannot get The above with a well tuned 90cm dish, but I would welcome advice on how to just the same as you.
