Gas going up by 35%

If the utility company's had never been privatised they would not have to answerer to share holders, meaning they would not need to make such huge profit's, therefore price rises could be absorbed. Looks like the gas central heating will be getting the boot this winter, together with the gas cooker. Thanks again Maggie,

Really tempted to buy one of those wood burning stoves or boilers. Some of the boilers you can burn large logs, bits of pallets, and even "fat cats" that head gas and electricity companys.

Told the wife we have to change the cooker to an electric one, not happy. Told her this winter the heating is only going on 2 hours a day and the fire will have to be lit. even more unhappy.

Having to fix the grass strimmer every 6 seconds.Bloody strimmer wire /cord or whatever you call it stops feeding out. I probebly havnt put the spool in correctly. I hate that bast**d with a vengance

Holiday reps!!!!!!

Yes I'm back and feeling blue (with the cold) - didn't even see a wisp of a cloud for 2 weeks. Best holiday ever - sun, sea, sand, coral reefs, desert safaris, bedouin nights, star gazing, pyramids, treasures of the pharoahs, mummies (the bandaged variety), snorkelling (never got round to diving), camels (smelly but not as bad as I thought), semi submerged boats, Nile Cruises. But missed out on the Valley of the Kings cos holiday rep completely balls'd up the booking THREE times

Phew - had to come home for a rest.

Just a heads up for the heating bill, I bought a Pellet stove last winter, they say its the cheapest way to heat your house, fully automatic, with a remote control to switch it on, off and control the room temperature. i went to milan to get it saved 600 euro on the price here in belgium.
