You can download a new satellites.xml file with all the new transponder data (but if the satellites themselves don't tally 1:1 it gets a little messy) or better still, get a satellites.xml generator plugin which updates from a site like Lyngsat automatically.
Have a 'net search for autosatxml. There are probably more up-to-date versions, but autosatxml11.tar.gz used to work very well for me.
