I've learn to crack the usual on my Techno 1500 and the Great Darkman -- ie Premiere, TPS, D+ and Cabo(although I seem to hear that we are about to lose this one imminently )

Nice job mate.

Have you set the soft limits (east/west) on your receiver to stop your dish from hitting the wall? I would also be tempted to do the same with the hard limits on the motor too, if you get a chance. Then if your receiver did happen to throw a wobbler, you know your dish wouldn't get damaged.

Good point Yorks. Always set the motor hard limits. I tend not to bother with the soft limits because even they go wrong once the receiver/v-box throws a wobbly.

I've set east/west limits on the receiver but not the actual motor itself

I'm afraid it involves removing the motor spindle from the motor, as the limits are hidden underneath.

Nice install, and nice platform to stand on when you have to fiddle

Always a good idea to set limits wod, as if the receiver plays up, it could smash your dish into the wall.

I haven't set mine either, but then my dish can't physically hit anything

By default they are set to allow movement 70 degrees in each direction. If your motor/dish can travel that far without hitting any obstacles then there is no need to adjust them.
