Default How can I avoid interference?

I have 8 feet motorized dish. The view to my required satellites is clear and there are no obstacles. I have one KU-band LNB and one C-band LNB installed on the dish. I have no problem in receiving KU-band channels and get almost all of them. However, I'm unable to receive C-band channels. The dish installer told me that it is because of some interference (that is probably from the Wimax network, that is using the same frequency that C-band uses).

Is there any workaround for that? Like, building a wall to the side where interference is coming? How can I guess from which side interference is coming? My neighbor can receive C-band, but not me

If your neighbour is receiving C Band, then I can't see interference being the problem, depending how close your neighbours dish is to yours.
If possible try your receiver on your neighbours dish, and, if he will allow, then try your LNB on his dish, this will help rule out that the problem isn't your receiver or LNB.
The most obvious possibilities are that the LNB isn't aligned correctly or it's the cable.
Unfortunately there is no easy solution to solving this kind of problem, it is a case of trial and error, that is check everything until you solve the problem.

The shortest possible length of the highest quality cable will help. A new C-band LNB might also do some good.

Maybe you could try burying the cable in some metal conduit if there's nothing else left to do. Easier than building a wall
