Default Watching German channels on a digibox

hi there,
i hav just tried to get Astra 19E with my spare amstrad sky digibox, it actually finds the channels and adds channels but when i try to watch em it says "no satellite signal received" ???
if there would be no signal it wouldnt pick up the channels in the first place, so my question is:

is the skybox blockin me from watchin the channels ???

Hi,
I assume that you are doing it right.
You have to go to where the extra channels are stored to view them,
as they will not appear in the EPG. If an EPG channel is selected the box will be looking for a channel on 28E but won't get any as you're re-aligned to 19E, so the message will appear.

Are you watching them through the Add Channels facility? Thats the only way it can be made to work

(Services 6 on a normal sky box)

It worked about six months ago for me when I tried it.
I haven't tried it since though as I now use a 'proper' satellite receiver,
as the Sly receivers are too limited.

I had it working a few months back, but digiboxes can get mighty confused on other satellites. Only do it as a last resort. You'll end up jumping on it.

you'd be better with a cheap free to air receiver.

Yes, I used to wack my dish back to 28e at the end of the night, so my Thomson box was only off it for a couple of hours and I didn't get any problems. I forgot once though, and it took a while to work properly again.
