Default setting up a monoblock

Hi all,

Just bought a 6 degree monoblock to receive 19.2E and 13.0E.

Is there anything I need to know about setting this up?

Does it matter which way round i fit it i.e. do I centre on 13.0E or 19.2E or does it not matter?

I have a TM1000 - do I have to change any settings so that it recognises the two feeds or will it sort these out automatically?

thanks for any advice.

Normally it does matter, ie a weak and a strong satellite you would put the LNB for the weak one at the centre of the dish where the strongest signal would be (13E and 10E on a 3 degree monoblock).
But with your 6 degree one you are going for two of the strongest sats so not really in this case.

You will need to setup your DiSEqC A/B in the menu of your reciever and all should be well.

Remember to set the monoblock with the outside LNB slightly higher or lower than the centre one depending on which satellite you choose as the prime focus one as 13 and 19 are at slightly different elevations on the arc.

A couple of pics of the set up I did for my daughter in essex. 80cm no name dish and monobloc, got them from a car boot sale many moons ago. Centred on Hotbird as this was the weaker a few years ago.

Trial and error is all any of us can do - it just helps if you start by pointing in roughly the right direction

Well done m8. This satellite business gets easier the more you fiddle. Great fun
