I was hoping these were going to be linux boxes with lan connection but they do not appear to be.

No LAN and no Linux. Not even dual-tuner.
I am going to give it a miss.

Are you sure it got 2 satellite tuners AND DVB-T? My understanding is that it got 1 DVB-S/S2 and 1 DVB-T tuner.

So it basically says it got 1 satellite tuner then. As I can't get Freeview at all, this is no use for me.

I just cant see the point of HD at the moment, theirs hardly anything out their in HD on satellite and I defiantly cant see the point of HD for Freeview as their is nothing at all out their in HD and their are no plans at all for HD via an aerial in this country

In this country no, but France and many others with more well managed radio spectrum will have DVB-T MPEG-4 HD on their DTT platforms.

Only good reason for this maybe people on the South English coast in the UK to pick up French DVB-T HD.
