Hi,
I am doing research on setting up a new system. I believe that I have a reasonable area to locate the dish. However, I am not sure at what angle the signal will arrive at the dish, and believe this important relative to nearby buildings etc. I will be in the Hull area. Anyone any idea where I can find the correct maths to work this out or is there a rule of thumb that will work? Grateful for any help. John |

Hi,
Most of us use a calculator. Such as this:- http://www.satsig.net/maps/lat-long-finder.htm Just select your sat, and zoom in to your location on the map. or this one:- http://www.satlex.de/en/azel_calc.html There are also downloadable ones if you google.

Hi m8
An easy way to find your co-ordinance is start up google earth, type in your post code, when it zooms to your address, down the bottom of the screen you will find your co-ordinance. regards lone

Google Earth (and it's variants) is the best thing since sliced bread. Any bread in fact
![]() My brain's gone dead. Anyone remember the name of the tool that rapes all the satellite image servers directly? That's even better. Very clever.
