hi guys
my sl65 has not been used in months since getting the tm9100 so decided to give it to my parents alone with a spare 80cm dish and 0.6db lnb I had to try and save time I put the sl65 on my dish and tuned the fta stuff from 28east in and setup all the favs ect when I set it up at there house 4 miles away only a few channels worked so had to rescan the box just wondered why this would be? dose changing the lnb/dish and cable length affect tuning?

Hi
I have never experienced this and I have played swapsies with LNBs on a number of occasions. The LNB does contain a mixer so if the LOsc was out, the IF signals would appear at the wrong frequencies. If they were too far out I assume (the non-blind) scan wouldn't find them. Since a rescan worked ( I assume it wasn't a blind scan) then I don't think this could be the case. Maybe there's a problem with the box and it just forgot it's channel list, when you unplugged it. I'm just theorizing here, so if I'm talking rubbish will someone please slap me. ![]() |

No, I can't think of any other reason why it didn't all go to plan :?
