Hi,
I'm thinking of doing a full factory default reset to my Phoenix Apollo CI, but I'm a bit scared to do it just in case I can't get it to work again. If I do this, will it ask me for any settings related to the motor that a newbie like my doesn't know...? Will it ask me to set anything like 'what is your due south degrees' or anything which only the installer knows when I switch it back on? Also, what happens if I reset the DiSEqC setup applications? What exactly does this mean? I just want to do this because I just feel something is messed up with my receiver. Why is that I added Turksat 42E as a NEW satellite and can get a great signal no problem, but trying to find a signal with Turksat already added in the list of satellites by default, I can't any signal at all and I think this applies to other satellites too. When I switched to the newly added Turksat 42e and then switched back to Hellas Sat, I kept getting no signal for Hellas Sat and Turksat and now I can't find Hellas Sat anymore!!!! I had no problem before with Hellas Sat. Its ridiculous, what the hell is going on. A factory reset is my last hope ![]() Thanks for your help. |

If you do a factory reset it will wipe out all your channel lists, motor settings etc etc... and put the box to a virgin state ready for setting up again
![]() write down all the settings before you do anything, i.e everything that can be changed in the receiver settings like DISEqC mode, lnb settings etc, etc ![]() ![]() Nano

But if it was 'patched' to start with, it'll still be patched after a factory reset.

i did the full reset, and I managed to get Hellas Sat back, but not Turksat, Arabsat, Eurobird, Eutelsat W1, Eutelsat W4 and Thor. I emailed the Phoenix technical support and they told me me to try USALS and go through each transponder for a signal, but I told them it still didn't work. Lets see what they will say.

I'm going to send the receiver back for them to test it. They said it could be faulty or the dish setup is incorrect (whatever that means)

if you have patched it make sure you put the standard firmware back on it otherwise they will send it back to you
