Thanks to Yorks I've managed to patch my sl65/12. I get CAS enabled and the key editor in the installation menu, but I can't seem to find the right keys to enter. I have looked on the usual sites (np-ulc and rdi-files to name two) but I'm hopelessly confused about what keys I need. For example, for Nagra Digital+ ID 4101 the key editor will only accept a key length of 8, but all the keys I have found for D+ 4101 are 16 long! Then for Nagra Premiere the key editor lists ID 0502 only, but all the keys I've found are for 5101. Does that mean that the key editor is totally out of date? Is there a newer one that I can upload to the receiver?
When looking for keys, do they have to be specifically for the SL65, or will generic keys (as listed on rdi) do? Dish is pointing at 19.2E by the way. If someone could PM me with a few hints, I'd be grateful. Sol |

Hi,
The k@ys are normally universal, it's just the way that they're entered that's different. The 32 HEX digits ( 16 HEX numbers) have to be split up into two lots of 8 HEX numbers, normally by placing on two lines. I don't know about your k@y editor. :? |

Thanks Robbo.
BTW I should have typed that all the keys I've found for Premiere are for 0501. I just loaded Mybin15042007.bin with the key updater and there are some changes to the available services, but still no joy with the keys. ![]() |

Im pretty sure you cant open premiere with this reciever at the moment!! I am in the same position as you!! For D+ you can just enter the most recent key - it will either be key 0 or 1 so you select 0/16 or 1/16 on the line above where the actual key goes and then enter the key in the box as required"

Hi Gooner
Yeah, I found that out about Premiere - worst luck! For D+, do the IDs 4101/4102 not have any significance then? And do you mean that you enter the same key on both 0/16 and 1/16 or separate keys for each? I got keys labelled IDEA 00 and IDEA 01 from sat-key.org and entered one on each line, but still nothing is open. Jeez, I must be doing something really stupid! Sol |

Premiere was knocked out on this box when they reapplied the 'MECM' fix a few months back.

I think you want 4101 for d+
I don't know how your sceen looks, but on my receiver it has 4 lines each with 8 bytes in them. The first two lines are for IDEA 00 (the 1st half on the 1st line, the 2nd half on the 2nd line) the next two lines are for IDEA 01 (ditto) You only have to enter the active one ( in red on the site you quoted), but it must be on the right lines. |

Thanks a million, everyone - got it at last!!
![]() The thing that was confusing me was the ID numbers. There is no Nagra D+ ID4101 in my key editor - just 4002 and 4102. Anyway, I entered the published current (red) key for 4101 in the 0/16 line of ID4002 and set to zero the values for 1/16 and 2/16. In this version of the key editor (Mybin15042007.bin) you can fit 16 Hex pairs on one line. With the version mentioned in Yorks' walk-through, you'd probably have to enter the 4101 key over two lines like Robbo says - haven't tried it, though. Off to have a play! ![]() Sol |

B*#?er! That didn't last long
![]() The old key stopped working at about 11.30am and now the new key won't work, despite following exactly the same input procedure as before. I tried inputting the key several times and I'm sure it's not just finger trouble. Then I tried re-flasing the box with various firmware versions - now on one dated 24/05/07. I've got: H/W version A4AA100A110A3E S/W version DVBS CMG-0.1.4.41 Date UCS enabled I think that agrees with what Yorks quoted on another thread. It shouldn't be a duff key because it seems to be working for people on Alsat. Sorry for the saga, folks, but if anyone has any clues .... |
