Default Envision 500S - the cheapest Linux receiver?

Came across this toy at Wizard. They sell it for 100 quid.
It seems to be a copy of Dreambox with the exception of 12V power supply.

Does anyone know anything good/bad about this receiver? Is it possible to run Gemini on it?

Just learned it got Philips tuner. Is this bad?
Also sold by SatEuropa for same money (but delivery is extra).

I suspect it's another Chinese clone? :?

Looks like it. The question is: Is it really worth buying such thing?

Not for a ton IMO. £65 maybe. The picture above doesn't have any screws holding the case on!

I know they make them down to a price, but how much are screws in China?!

Don't answer that...

I nicked the picture from Russian website so don't pay much attention to this.

Is there a place where I could buy a fake DM500 (I guess that's what it is) for 65 quid?

There were plenty for around that price on eBay, but I haven't looked lately.
