hi i just bought a decoder for satelite tv from my fren a few says ago. i'm staying in the russian federation. my decoder is not the one with the card but it is the one that i can change the keys for channels. my fren tought me how to find keys, how to change the keys and how save them in the decoder. but the problem now is i don't know if the key that i entered is for the desired channels. as for example, in the tv list there is hbo channel, but it is scrambled, and my fren said that i had to hex it first. but i dun know what provider provides hbo. please help me. than you.

Hi zacclane ,
welcome to the forum. There are lot's of HBO channels, on various satellites, so can you please provide us with a little more information. Which satellites are you viewing? What is the encryption? If you don't know these your receiver should give you some extra information. What make/model is your receiver? What size dish are you using and where is your general location? I know there are a few HBO channels available on Digi TV's package, 1 degree West, which is currently open, this is encrypted using Nagravision 2. If this is the satellite you are on, and you provide information on your receiver, I'm sure somebody wiil be able to help you. |

Yes, also provide frequency and polarisation if you can find it from your receiver/transponder list.
