Hi stick with a 25000:1 Contrast Ratio i felt it was the right time to by.Also this LCD has 100 MHZ what helped made my mind up.LOL its only been a year since i was going to get a LCD :roflmao: Iv payed for this now,so its just waiting to get my hands onit. Some time nexst week i should have this LCD,so not to long to wait.I have seen them cheeper than @ robertwhyteltd but only with a FREE 1 YEAR WARRANTY.I could not go for that, also those who have bought with a year WARRANTY have had problems. The ones with a year WARRANTY i think are from bt shop. From robertwhyteltd iv heard no bad reports as yet, finngers crossed it stays this way.

Hi satsid
Yes looks very good.I have been looking at some lcds and i find the best tvs are in the book makers i saw the sony bravia and that gave a fantastic picture and all the connecters you need not sure how much they are but if i win the lottery thats the one for me.Do a google search for Sony Bravia D3000 and S3000: New LCD TV and you will get an idea of the specs. I dont want to post live link incase it breaks the rules.
ALBERT

The ultimate in home movie watching is all here with the new Sony D-3000 range of HD LCD TV’s. One-touch home theatre control, 24p True Cinema, Motionflow +100Hz and 10bit panel technology is all part of the package.

We were impressed with the previous news article about the Sony S-3000 series and then we stumble across the D-3000 range which Sony describes as ‘Closer to Perfection’.

So, similarly to the S-3000 range, the D-3000 range includes the fantastic one-touch Home Theatre control feature. Hook up all of your HD equipment, e.g. Blu-Ray Disc Player, HD DVD Player or Playstation 3 via the 3 HDMI connectors and operate them all in one go with a single press of the power button on the Bravia Theatre Sync remote. This will also turn down the TV sound and allow the Home Theatre audio take over.

Sony Bravia KDL-46D3000

The 24p True Cinema feature will display movies played through either a Blu-Ray player or HD DVD player, at the original 24 frames per second that they we originally captured in, resulting in the perfect image and sound you could possibly expect.

Another important factor in displaying the perfect image is the refresh rate and the D-3000 series doubles the standard refresh rate from 50Hz to 100Hz by using Motionflow +100 technology. This superbly intelligent image function allows the human eye to visualise image motion much smoother and more realistic than an image without the technology.

A new Sony range of HD LCD TV’s would not be complete without an enhanced colour reproduction system and with the D-300 range a 10bit panel has been included compared to the 8bit panel that is usually offered. Thus resulting in 1024 shades of gradation so real life colours and textures really will show and therefore taking TV and Movie watching into a whole new level.

There are no release dates as yet but we will update the availability of the D-3000 range as we get it.

I think you were right to wait, and I think that the dust has definitely settled a bit now. I'm going to go for a 22" or 24" widescreen PC monitor soon, cos I'm a tight-arse

Of all the screens I've drooled over in the shops, I like the picture on the Sony Bravia best, but I've still not looked properly as my bank account isn't keeping up with my credit card ATM

Hi Albert iv been reading up on LCDS for ages now.The Bravias are about £300 more in price ish, sony & samsung seem to have been fighting each other lol.
(The ultimate in home movie watching is all here with the new Sony D-3000 range of HD LCD TV’s. One-touch home theatre control, 24p True Cinema, Motionflow +100Hz and 10bit panel technology is all part of the package.)Thay say the samsung can do all the above, also it has usb 2 for updating.10bit panel technology i heard some fine words on as wether true or not. From other users thay say the blacks on the samsung are the best thay ever seen. Also no clouding on the screen, freeview is good as well.If the samsung does this im happy,& i feel iv not wasted my money. The samsung has been payed for so thats it for me.Albert thanks for pointing out on the sonys.
