Look at ALi-6PiN-JTAG.jpg and build it up =============================== Installing GiveIO on Windows XP =============================== 1. Copy giveio.sys to C:WINDOWSsystem32drivers 2. Go to Control Panel, open System and go to the hardware tab. 3. Click on the Device Manager button. This will open a new window. 4. In the Device Manager window, click on the View menu and select "Show hidden devices." This will reveal a Non-Plug and Play Drivers icon in the file tree. 5. Expand the Non-Plug and Play Drivers tree. 6. Find and right click giveio and select Properties from the popup menu. This will bring up a window of the giveio Properties. 7. In the Properties window, select the Driver tab. 8. Select Automatic from the dropdown box for the type and Start the Driver! ================================ Flashing/Backing UP your SL65/35 ================================ 1. Plugin your JTag Connector! Set Jumper on the board to 1/2! 2. Flashing your Box: Go to SL65-35ALi and execute flash-sl65-35.bat and wait for a long time ..... 3. When everything is done, set Jumper on the board to 2/3 and reboot your box! 4. Enjoy your restored/backup Box! ===== NOTES ===== When your box is flashed about 50% you can cancel the flash and the RS232 port will work! Flashing your box will take a lot of time ....... 50% needed me ~ 12 hours! |

Be very careful about cancelling any flash before it completes. This is all very risky stuff, and should only be performed if you are totally comfortable with the distinct possibility of 'bricking' your box!
You have been warned. This goes for flashing any receiver.
